Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ of San Diego Presbytery:
Welcome to the website of your “Next Wave” Administrative Commission. We hope that the information and conversation included here will help us all as we seek to discern God’s will regarding requests made by congregations outside our presbytery to join with us in the continuing mission and ministry of Jesus Christ.
Since our formation at the June 21 presbytery meeting, our Commission has met several times (in person and via the Internet) and begun its work. We have identified the major topics that will need to be addressed as we move forward in conversation with the requesting congregations. We have reviewed the wisdom shared at our presbytery-wide gathering held in late May. And we have prayed for guidance and wisdom from the Lord.
From time to time we will post information here about our progress as well as any official forms or documents that will help you understand our work. As always, our task is to gather and organize information so that the whole presbytery can seek, discern, and decide our way forward.
Should you have comments or questions, a place is provided on this site for you to make your contribution to our work.
Jack Baca, Chair
Members: Elizabeth Crews, Bob Davis, Bobby Foushee, Chris Lenocker, Francis Lin, Mike McClenahan
